Job description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista or Assistant Baristas to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Maintain a welcoming, positive and friendly attitude

• Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and standards.

• Prep responsibilities for opening/closing as assigned

• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and workspaces.

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.

• Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on preferences.

• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.

• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.

• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.

• Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.

• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is a plus.

• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn about different brewing methods and beverages.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
